Electricity Retrofit Incentive Program (ERIP) The Ontario Power Authority in cooperation with Hydro One Brampton are assisting Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional and Agricultural customers to conserve energy. The Electricity Retrofit Incentive Program appreciates that when a business is making choices between different equipment options, the desired choice is for the most efficient solution, but for financing reasons or timing reasons other choices may be made. We would like to influence the decision in favour of the most electricity efficient ones. The Electricity Retrofit Incentive Program focuses on the areas of lighting, motors, heating and ventiliation and air conditioning (HVAC), and the overall electricity systems. All technology, equipment and systems are evaluated on the basis of their electrical demand reduction. Custom Project Application Guideline Who qualifies Applicants must be Hydro One Brampton commercial customers. Applicants may be owners or tenants of business premises supplied by Hydro One Brampton. Please note that if you are a tenant, you must obtain permission from the property owner for installation of the measures for which an incentive is claimed. Qualifying Projects Incentives will be available for pre-apprioved projects that result in measurable reductions in electrical demand. These projects may be completed using energy efficient technologies prescribed by the program or may be based on innovative custom initiatives. How do I participate? There are two ways to get started: 1. Use the self-serve method by reviewing the documentation and printing or downloading the application and appropriate documents. OR 2.
