Have you ever painted a room a dark colour and then realized afterward that no amount of lighting seems
to provide enough light? Lighter colours reflect light and enhance lighting. By painting your walls in light

We have listed a few more creative ways that you can improve your interior and exterior lighting, and save energy at the same time.
CFL's are best used in areas where lights
are left on for long periods of time.
Although CFL's are more expensive to buy,
they use up to 75% less electricity and last
much longer than incandescent bulbs.
Turn off lights when a room is not occupied -
it's a myth that turning them on and off
uses more energy than if lights are left on.
Install outdoor timers and motion sensors -
they will help to reduce energy in lighting
by providing light only when you need it.
Use dimmer switches - they will save
energy and lengthen the life of your lamp.
Look for specialty CFL's that are compatible
with dimmer switches.
Use fewer bulbs - a 100 watt incandescent
bulb uses the same amount of energy as four
25 watt bulbs, but gives off twice the light.
