Hydro One Brampton Awarded United Way's 'Campaign Spirit Award'

On January 31, 2008, the United Way of Peel Region hosted their Community Achievement Celebration at the Pearson Convention Center. This annual event honours organizations and individuals for their outstanding achievements in helping to raise funds for our community.

Hydro One Brampton was amoung 700 invited guests and one of 21 recipients of the Campaign Spirit Award at the celebration. The 'Outstanding Public Sector Joint Union-Management Campaign' award was presented to Hydro One Brampton following an internal employee campaign that raised $27,340 (or approximately $142 per employee) in 2007. This award recognizes the teamwork and leadership involving both management and union employees in the public sector.

The United Way of Peel Region surpassed its goal raising over $14.5 million in the 2007 campaign.
